What is BIMI email and why should you care?

BIMI is an authentication method used in e-mail communication. It is an identifier placed next to the sender’s name, which lets the recipients know that the message is from a certified company. It works hand-in-hand with DMARC, a security setting that companies use to prevent their email addresses from being spoofed.

What is BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification)?

How does BIMI record work with brand logos?

BIMI works quite logically.

The domain owner sets a special BIMI DNS TXT record (information about the domain, such as its IP address, etc.).

When recipients receive e-mail messages, mailbox service providers verify that they are from the company they claim to be. This is the authentication how to identify potential partners part that works with all email standards.
