Books about the sea, the most beautiful novels to read
Those who know me know, I love the sea. I can’t do without it and whenever I can I go back. And if I can’t I often look for it in the books I read. For this reason I took the opportunity to write the most beautiful and exciting books about the sea that I have read.
Here is a selection, which I hope will be useful to you, of wonderful novels to travel the seas of the world. Unforgettable stories that I feel like whatsapp marketing service recommending to you with all my heart.
The Old Man and the Sea
One of the most beautiful and famous books by Ernest Hemingway . It is the story of Santiago, an old Cuban fisherman who, after a furious fight in the open sea, catches the biggest fish of his life. The second part of this short novel tells the heartbreaking journey of the fisherman towards the port, with the hungry sharks eager for the fruit of his catch. The Old Man and the Sea is a wonderful book about the sea and life. Unmissable.
Moby Dick
Tastes are subjective, but this is quite possibly the greatest book about the sea ever written. With Moby Dick , Herman Melville takes us into the thrilling challenge between Captain Ahab and the White Whale. An adventure that has become legendary, which takes place aboard the Pequod, a ship that unites men of profoundly different faiths and cultures in a single destiny. Another reason for interest: the novel reflects the author’s real experiences on whaling ships.
Treasure Island
Another of the great books about the sea. A timeless classic that conquers young and old. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson is a great story set in 18th century England. Young Jim and his mother discover in a dead sailor’s trunk a map of a treasure hidden on an island. From here the adventure begins, an expedition aboard the “Hispaniola” with only how to use telegram to create a virtual study group one goal: the treasure of the famous pirate, Captain Flint.
The true story of the pirate Long John Silver
A beautiful book that connects to the one I recommended in the previous lines. With The True Story of the Pirate Long John Silver , Bjorn Larsson tells the story of the terrible pirate of Treasure Island, Long John Silver. And this splendid adventure among stormy seas, ports, taverns and boardings is told in the first person by the pirate. One of my favorite books ever.
This book also had a short but intense sequel: The Last Adventure of the Pirate Long John Silver .
Life of Pi
Among the sea adventure books this one bzb directory absolutely cannot be missed. Life of Pi is the masterpiece by Yann Martel , which later also became a successful film. An adventure to be read in one breath, which tells the story of the shipwreck of the Indian boy Piscine Molitor Patel and his “unusual” travel companions: a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a tiger. What will happen? A unique book of its kind, which combines adventure with magical and surreal atmospheres. Beautiful!
